Back at Winton Motor Raceway on the National Circuit, the Formula Rookies crowd got a proper front-runner statement as Benjamin Bauer took the win and led all 15 laps, turning in the fastest lap of the race (best lap 1:30.924). Joseph Christopherson backed up the top-two effort by coming home second from third, while Ricky Bryant charged from 6th to 3rd to make the podium lively. With 19 starters and 15 classified finishers, the drama also included a tough day for Ricardo Arrojado, who suffered a DNF/disconnection after starting 4th.
